- Form I-20:Â After admission and proving finances, your university will issue a Form I-20.
- SEVIS Fee:Â Pay the SEVIS I-901 fee.
- DS-160 & Interview:Â Complete the online Nonimmigrant Visa Application (DS-160), pay the visa fee, and schedule a mandatory in-person interview at a U.S. Embassy/Consulate.
- Interview Preparation: Bring all documents (I-20, passport, financial evidence). The officer will determine if you qualify for an F-1 (academic) or J-1 (exchange) visa.
- Visa Issuance:Â If approved, your passport will be returned with the visa stamp.
